Process of veneer production

Process of veneer production

After delivering logs from a supplier and a careful selection process, the logs are exposed to steaming process ranged 17 to 20 hours.

Upon completion of the process of selection and steaming, the workers remove log's bark, then place them on the peeler machine which forms veneer sheets of a discrete thickness in the amount of 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8 mm. The log's maximum length that can be placed on the peeler machine is 1.8 m.

Thus obtained sheets of veneer are cut to the desired dimensions and then sent to a drying plant where it stays for several minutes.

After completion of the drying process and dimensioning, veneer is further classified and packed for transport.
